On that morning, the judges will pick and display two images; one being a colour and the other being a thing. You can interpret these two images as you want and go from there. So, for example, if we showed the colour blue and a picture of an elephant, you could make a game about a sad elephant or a game about the sorrow of the ivory trade or even a game featuring a blue spacecraft called ‘Elephant’.
We also urge you to include a twist element in your game. So if it is a story-based game then include a narrative twist, or maybe reverse the reward mechanisms or make an unusual pairing of setting and game mechanic. We don’t know; surprise us.
